Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 March, a meeting took place in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis between the Chairperson of the Committee on Youth, Women, Culture, and Sports, Odinakhon Kozikhonova, and the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Antti Karttunen.

The parties discussed empowering youth and women, issues of gender equality, and prospects for further cooperation.

Senate representatives noted that under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country is undergoing large-scale reforms aimed at strengthening legal institutions and societal development.

Antti Karttunen expressed support for the democratic transformations in Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of collaborating with the OSCE to implement joint initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their readiness for continued cooperation.
