Uzbek, Russian presidents hold telephone conversation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a telephone conversation with the Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev on 22 May. The conversation was held on the initiative of the Russian side.
The leaders of two states discussed issues on implementation of multi-plan agreements, achieved during the official visit of the Uzbek President to Russia on 19-20 April 2010.
The sides also considered issues on preparation and holding of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in June 2010 in Tashkent and exchanged opinion on the situation in the Central Asian region.
