During the visit, the President was accompanied by Maqbool bin Ali bin Sultan, Commerce and Industry Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the President).

During the visit, President Karimov was briefed on the Mosque’s history, its stages of building, its distinguished Omani and Islamic architectural arts, in addition to, its role as an Islamic outstanding landmark.

The Uzbek President also familiarized himself with the Mosque’s utilities that serve the society. He also toured the lectures hall and the library.
