Uzbek president to visit UN summit on MDGs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will participate at the UN summit dedicated to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Gazeta.uz reported that the summit will be held at the UN headquarters in New York on 20-22 September 2010.

Uzbek leader Islam Karimov will head the governmental delegation of Uzbekistan. The visit is organized on invitation of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

The delegation of Uzbekistan will present a report on progress of Uzbekistan in implementation of MDGs.
