Uzbek President starts official visit to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov arrived on an official visit to Tokyo on 8 February on the invitation of the Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan.

The main events of the visit will take place on 9 February. The leaders of Uzbekistan and Japan will discuss issues of expansion of mutual cooperation, as well as important regional and international problems.

Signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in various spheres is planned, UzA reported.
