Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law “On audit activity” (№ LRU-677, February 25, 2021).
According to the Law, the Ministry of Finance is an empowered state body in the field of audit activity.
An auditor can be carried out by persons who have a qualification certificate.
The website of the Ministry of Finance should include information on audit activities, standards of audit activities.
The Central Bank is the authorized body for auditing banks and other credit organizations.
Public associations of auditors have the right to participate in the conduct of qualification exams and the development of test questions.
Interference in the activities of audit organizations is not allowed.
An auditor can be a founder (participant) of only one audit organization in which he/she works.
The auditor qualification certificate is issued by the Ministry of Finance.
To obtain a certificate, the applicant must have a higher education and work experience of at least 3 out of the last 10 years in the field of accounting and auditing or HEI.
Applications for obtaining a certificate are considered within 3 working days. The decision is made on the admission or refusal of the applicant's admission to the qualification exam.
Also, the Law determines the status of an audit organization.
In particular, the audit organization has the right to carry out audit activities from the date of entering information about it in the Register of Auditing Organizations.
Auditing organizations carry out audits and other related services.
The law comes into force after three months from the date of its official publication.
