Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 8 November 2012 and Senate approved the law on 5 December 2012. The law will come into force after six months.

The law consists of 29 articles. The document was developed to create single legislative framework of permission system, unification of conditions and order of permission procedures at state bodies, abolishment of red tape at permission procedures, ensure transparency, etc.

The law envisages introduction of one stop shop principle at issuing permission documents. In line with one stop shop principle, business entities can receive permission documents from one place.

The law will allow to improve system of legal protection of small businesses, create favourable conditions for entrepreneurship, and ensure consistency and integrity of legal regulation of issues related to permission procedures.
