Uzbek leader said that Uzbekistan needs to study achievement of global information sector and establish exchange of experience with foreign colleagues. He said that it is important to master modern media technologies, foreign languages and Internet.

President Islam Karimov said: “I am sure that we all understand necessity for further expanding works directed at providing wide opportunities for youth in mass media.”

He said that it is age of Internet, dynamic development of Internet television, Internet radio, email, online video and many other new ICT, which significantly expand their impact to auditory.

President of Uzbekistan said that mainly youth are using these technologies and journalists should master them as well to communicate with audience effectively.

Islam Karimov said that it is impossible reject important and unlimited opportunities Internet to connect with any part of the world, receive necessary information, improve knowledge. He said that Uzbekistan supports intensions of Uzbek citizens to use Internet more and do not accept setting any “walls” and limits in information world, which brings to self-isolation.
