Uzbek President leaves for Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 September President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov departed for Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan on an official visit at the invitation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev.

During the meetings and talks, the heads of state are expected to discuss enhancement of bilateral cooperation, exchange views on pressing regional and international issues, UzA reported.

The two sides plan to adopt a Joint Statement and sign a series of bilateral documents dedicated to further the interaction between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in diverse areas.
