Uzbek President Islam Karimov to visit Russia in April
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will pay an official visit to Russian Federation in April 2010.
State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Islamov discussed the issues of preparation and agenda of the upcoming visit on 26 March.
Bakhtiyar Islamov visited Moscow to attend informal session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The sides also considered actual issues of the Russian-Uzbek relations and other topics related to situation in the Central Asian region.
