Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of the Uzbekistan – France Business Forum in Samarkand, met with the Chairman and CEO of EDF, Luc Rémont.

EDF is the world’s largest operator of nuclear power plants, with assets of 427 billion euros. The company operates in 30 countries around the world. It is engaged in the production, transmission, and distribution of electricity.

During the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan supported the company’s participation in constructing combined cycle power plants in Syrdarya and Surkhandarya and noted the importance of accelerating the implementation of projects.
