Symposiums Palace and National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi are located at the building of Ma’rifat Markazi.

Islam Karimov got acquainted with the Symposiums Palace, which will host large scientific forums and international events. The capacity of the large hall of the Palace makes up 1,000 seats.

The Palace is equipped with furniture, modern information-communication technologies and computers, connected to wireless Internet.

After that President Islam Karimov familiarized with new building of National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi.

The library has Books Museum, reading halls, books saloon, cinema center, Internet and Media Center, Children Room, and Resting Room.

The library is equipped with modern technologies and has single automated information-library system. The reading rooms have computers, connected to electronic catalogues, Internet and electronic databases.
