Uzbek President Islam Karimov said: “We consider Estonia as fast developing state, first of all in the context of its developed infrastructure, transit and transport opportunities, which the country possesses. We have all grounds to use existing opportunities to establish bilateral relations on mutual beneficial base.”

Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip expressed gratitude to the Uzbek leader for warm reception and interest of Estonia to expand political and trade-economic cooperation with Uzbekistan.

He said that this is the first visit of Estonian Prime Minister to Uzbekistan and it is aimed at lifting relations with Uzbekistan, acknowledged leader of the region, to new level.” He added that terms for developing cooperation already matured.

During the talks, the sides exchanged opinion on perspectives of developing bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interest, UzA reported.
