Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Chairman of the Turkish company Aksa Enerji, Cemil Kazancı. During the meeting, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the company’s plans to participate in the expansion and technological modernization of Uzbekistan’s energy sector were discussed.
The President highlighted the successful activities of Aksa Enerji in Uzbekistan, noting that projects for the construction of modern power plants in Tashkent and Bukhara regions, with a total capacity of 740 megawatts, had been successfully implemented in cooperation with the company. On this day, a ceremony was also held to launch a new 400-megawatt power plant in Nishan district of Kashkadarya region.
The meeting addressed promising projects in the field of "green" energy, including the modernization of gas distribution systems, the construction of biogas plants, and ensuring stable energy supply to industrial zones. These initiatives align with the bilateral cooperation "roadmap" aimed at strengthening energy security and developing a sustainable energy infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
