Uzbek President said that it is pleasure to congratulate all team of the theatre with the 100th anniversary of the Uzbek National Academic Dramatic Theatre.

He said that level of spiritual development of people and the state are reflected in its culture, literature and art, including theatric art. He said that Uzbek National Academic Dramatic Theatre has great history and laid foundation for professional theatre in Uzbekistan and a whole Turkiston.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov said that Bekhbudi, Munavvarkori, Avloni and Chulpan laid foundation for Uzbek National Academic Dramatic Theatre despite many barriers and difficulties. Uzbek leader also recalled many actors like Mannon Uygur, Etim Babajanov, Alim Hadjaev, Abror Hidoyatov, Nabi Rakhimov, Shukur Burkhanov and others, who contributed to the development of the theatre.

Islam Karimov said that the theatre was reconstructed on the eve of the jubilee, which improved its look. It was also equipped with modern equipment.

President underlined that people are waiting for new lays, which would reflect current life and show achievements of Uzbek people. He expressed hope that the theatre will further contribute to spiritual development of Uzbek people.
