Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 September, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on awarding honorary titles to representatives of Kyrgyz culture and art.

According to the decree, Nurlan Omurbayev, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Variety-Symphony Orchestra of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov, has been honored with the title of "People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Zakirbek Duyshenbek uulu, a musician and komuz performer from Kyrgyzstan, has been awarded the title of "Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

These honors were awarded in recognition of their significant contributions to strengthening the friendship between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, advancing musical and performing arts, expanding cultural ties, and preserving and enriching historical heritage and traditions.
