Uzbek President approves five agreements with Oman
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On approval of international agreements” on 28 January 2010. The resolution approved five agreements between the governments of Uzbekistan and Oman, signed on 5 October 2009 in Muscat.

In line with the document, intergovernmental agreement on trade-economic cooperation and intergovernmental agreement on construction of the building of library at the Oriental Studies Institute in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.

Uzbek leader also approved intergovernmental agreement on air communication and memorandum of understanding of cooperation in tourism, as well as additional protocol on introduction of changes to agreement on avoiding double taxation of income and preventing evasion of income and capital tax payment.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov entrusted Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to send corresponding notification to Oman on execution of all intergovernmental procedures, necessary for entering into force of these agreement.

These intergovernmental agreements were inked during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Sultanate of Oman on 4-5 October 2009.
