The agreement was signed at the session of the Council of the heads of governments of CIS in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on 30 May 2012.
Uzbek leader entrusted Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to direct notification to depository on execution of inter-state procedures by Uzbekistan, which is necessary for entrance of the agreement into force.
According to the agreement, the CIS member states are creating CIS Tourism Council, which will coordinate cooperation in tourism sector. The Council will include the heads of tourism administrations of the CIS states.
The Council will consider conceptual issues and determines priority directions and forms of cooperation in tourism sector, submits proposals, directed at solving concrete tasks in tourism sector, to the Council of the heads of governments of the CIS for consideration.
