Uzbek President appoints new Minister of Public Education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov appointed new Minister of Public Education of the country.
According to the government portal Gov.uz, the post of Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan was taken by Temir Shirinov.
Prior to appointment, Mr. Shirinov worked as rector of Samarkand State University named after Alisher Navoi.
At this post, Shirinov replaced Avazjon Marakhimov, who was fired by the Uzbek President several days ago.
