Uzbek President appoints governors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed decrees to appoint govenores of four regions on 15 January 2010.
In line with decrees, Uktam Barnoev was appointed as governor of Samarkand region and Oybek Ashurmatov headed Syrdarya region.
Turabjon Djuraev became governor of Surkhandarya region. Rustam Holmatov was approved as head of Tashkent region.
