The draft law envisages changes, which ban police officers to impose and levy fines to drivers for violation in places.
According to MPs of lower house of the Uzbek parliament, the changes to Code allow police officers to impose and levy fines only to pedestrians, who violated laws.
MPs said that usually pedestrians do not have their IDs with them and this makes difficult to draw up a report of violation and it is necessary to fine them in place of violation.
The document also stipulates measures of arresting and delivery of vehicles to special parking places for violation of parking rules.
It was said that the draft law was developed based on international practices.
