Uzbek PM states cooperation with Russia thrives due to Presidents’ commitment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov stated that Uzbek-Russian cooperation is advancing based on comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations. He highlighted this point during a meeting in Tashkent with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

According to Aripov, this progress has been made possible by the political will and mutual trust established between the leaders of the two countries. He emphasized that the achievements in bilateral cooperation stem from the strong, trust-based relationship between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia.

Aripov also noted that the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan from May 26 to 28, 2024, and the agreements reached during the visit, marked a new chapter in the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

“In Tashkent, under the guidance of our esteemed leaders, the first meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia was held, with a significant delegation from 26 Russian regions in attendance, 22 of which were represented by their heads,” added the Prime Minister.

During the talks, attended by Russia’s Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, both sides discussed key issues of further cooperation.
