Uzbek playwrights get Grand Prix of International Competition in South Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The National Drama Theater of Uzbekistan hosted a gala event dedicated at presenting prizes to winners of the International Competition of scenarios based on myths, fairy tales and epics of Asia, which was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek playwrights and spouses Jasur and Mastura Iskhakovs won the Grand-Prix of the Chairperson of the Asian Committee “Narrators Art”.
They won the awards for creation of script for film on motoves of famous Uzbek epos “Alpomish”. Jasur Iskhakov also won the prize of Minister of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan for creation of script “Adventures of Prince Sherzod”.
Minister of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan Tursunali Kuziev congratulated the winners. Awarding prizes, he noted their great talent and wished success in the future. He said that Uzbekistan has great collection of tangible and intangible culture.
