Officials of Uzbekistan are attending a regional seminar "On investment agreements and disputes", which was opened on 16 July in Minsk, Belarus.

Representatives of 15 countries of South and Eastern Europe and Central Asia are attending the event. The meeting is organized by the UNCTAD under the auspices of the UNDP Office in Belarus and Belarusian Government within the frame of the UNCTAD Work Programme on International Investment Agreements.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, as well as delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan arrived in Minsk to participate in the seminar.
