The police in Kobryn, Brest Region of Belarus, have detained an Uzbek woman who attempted to traffic three Belarusian young women to Moscow for sexual exploitation there, the Belarusian news agency Belapan reported on 3 September, quoting the Kobryn district police department.

The woman was put in a remand centre on a human trafficking charge, the news agency said.

The Uzbek woman came to Belarus to visit her relatives in Kobryn, Belapan added.
