Uzbek musicians showed good results in the International Piano Competition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almaty Music College named after Tchaikovsky hosted the International Piano Competition - students of music colleges and high school students of specialized music schools “Piano Fest Almaty”.

The winner of the Grand Prix in her age category was our compatriot Sevinchon Bakiyeva, a 2-year student of the academic lyceum for gifted children at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. She presented a composition from the cycle “12 Rubai” by Boris Gienko.

The third place was also taken by a 2-year student of the academic lyceum at the State Conservatory of Dekhkanova Madina. In addition, young musicians from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China and South Korea were among the contest participants.

An international jury headed by Professor of the Uzbek State Conservatory Marat Gumarov evaluated the performances of the contestants. As part of the competition, Professor Gumarov conducted a master class.

In our piggy bank, 4 students have already become international laureates. Music competitions have become part of the life of young, talented and promising artists. They are very important and very popular. At international music competitions there is a unique opportunity not only to show oneself, but also to get acquainted with prominent cultural figures, famous musicians, with whom professional cooperation can later be formed. ”
