Uzbek MPs adopt several laws
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session on 29 January 2013, the press service of information service of the lower chamber of Uzbek parliament said.

MPs considered a law “On introduction of changes to article 4 of Law “On natural monopolies”. The law offers to eliminate services of transport terminals from list of monopoly services as the market developed and large number of enterprises offer services in the market.

It was said that any enterprise can work in the market if they have territory, equipped premises, employees, and license etc. The law was passed.

Afterwards, MPs passed the law “On ratification of agreement between Uzbekistan and South Korea on legal aid to civil and economic affairs (Seoul, 20 September 2012).

The agreement creates favourable conditions for citizens and legal entities of two states for rendering legal aid on civil and economic affairs. The agreement is directed at simplifying and ensuring accessibility of procedures on handing over legal documents, evidence gathering, exchange of information and materials of legal cases.

MPs also considered a law “On accession of Uzbekistan to agreement on cooperation of the member-states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in combating illegal migration (Moscow, 6 March 1998). The document will help to combat modern challenges and threats in illegal migration.

The agreement envisages measures on interaction in development of mechanisms on deportation of illegal migrants, exchange information and cooperation on improving skills of people. All documents will be directed to Senate for consideration.

The draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Civil procedural code of Uzbekistan and Family code of Uzbekistan, directed at improving family institute” was considered by MPs. The document sets that issues related with children adoption will be considered by courts. The document directed at protection interest of adopted children. The document sets strict requirements on adoption cases. It requires inspection of foster family to ensure children rights. The document was passed in the first reading.
