Uzbek mobile subscriber use less data transfer services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Subscribers of mobile operators in Uzbekistan use less internet services. According to the representatives of cellular communication operators, subscribers of Uzbekistan mainly use voice communication.

Tony Grünberg, General Director of Ucell, noted that subscribers of Uzbekistan use voice communication 4-5 times more compared to subscribers of Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan.

Director General of Unitel Dmitry Shukov stressed that the MOU (the number of minutes used per subscriber a month) is the highest among 12 operators of VEON along with Bangladesh.

At the same time, he added that subscribers do not use the mobile Internet a lot. According to him, subscribers on average use 400-450 megabytes of Internet a month. For example, this figure in Kyrgyzstan is 1.7 GB and in Russia - more than 5 GB.

Speaking about tariffs for Internet, Shukov noted that work is currently underway to optimize prices for the Internet. He added that by the end of the year, internet will be more affordable for users.

Ton Grünberg also noted that operators should invest the development of Internet and then the prices for Internet services will fall.
