The training was organized by the joint project of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and UNDP “Support to Microfinance Sector Development”, GTZ and National Association of Microfinance Organizations and Credit Unions.

The training was aimed at overcoming reliable data in microfinance sector and providing information about microfinance organizations to potential investors.

Information portal MIX Market (www.mixmarket.org) provides such opportunities to microfinance organizations. The portal presents information about the sector to wide audience.

Main task of MIX Market is to create transparent information platform, which unites microfinance organizations worldwide with potential investors and donors. The platform has information about over 1,400 microfinance organizations, 100 investors and 200 structures supporting the market.

Currently, only five organizations out of 103 credit unions and 32 microcredit organizations have their profiles at MIX Market.

The event was organized in order to inform local microfinance organizations with MIX Market to help them to attract potential investors and donors and establish long-term partnership.

The training presented participants information about MIX Market and its opportunities, creating profiles, holding comparative analysis, etc.
