Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan, Malaysian Export Association (MEXPA) organized the forum. The sides exchanged opinion on economic potential and opportunities of Uzbekistan and Malaysia, as well as discussed further development of trade-economic and investment cooperation, implementation of joint project in Navoi free industrial and economic zone.

Special attention was paid to establishment of bilateral relations in agriculture industry, partnership relations among farmers and businesses of two states.

The Uzbek delegation informed Malaysian businesses on economic, investment and tourism potential of Karakalpakstan. The participants familiarized with current state and achievement in agriculture sector, produced products in the country, etc.

MEXPA Secretary-General Koh See Tiang said that Malaysian business circles are interested in studying opportunities on implementation of mutual beneficial joint projects.

He underlined that search of possible ways of bilateral cooperation is one of priority directions of MEXPA operations and he said it is ready to aid any experience and technology exchange.

Malaysian participants discussed issues of producing fruits and vegetables in Uzbekistan, creation of various companies, etc.

The Uzbek delegation also visited state and private fruit farms in suburbs of Kuala Lumpur and familiarized with fruit production technologies. The delegation also paid visit to Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).
