He said that the figure grew by 22% year-on-year. Uzbekyengilsanoat enterprises also manufactured consumer products for 362.9 billion soums in January-August 2012, or grew by 44.3% year-on-year.

Shamsiddin Sultanov noted that the enterprises produce over 100 types of new and over 160 types of light industry products.

Representative of Uzbekyengilsanoat said that the enterprises realized goods for US$439.5 million to 49 countries.

He said that Uzbek light industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade started to export their products to Brazil, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Peru, Chile, Columbia, France, and other states.

In order to promote their products, enterprises of Uzbekyengilsanoat participated at the exhibitions in Russia, Baltics states, Turkey, Malaysia, etc. Currently, the enterprises have over 40 dealers in European Union, CIS and Asian countries.

Shamsiddin Sultanov said that 35% of exported products were ready goods, which rose by 25% compared to the same period of 2012. The sales of half-finished products in internal market helped to increase production of ready goods twice and hosiery products – 1.2 times.
