Uzbek leader pays visit to Namangan and Andijan regions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov paid a visit to Namangan and Andikjan regions on 30 September to familiarize with social-economic reforms, construction and municipal improvements.

Uzbek leader started his visit to Namangan region with familiarizing Hanabad mahalla, houses of which were constructed on standard projects.

Later, he visited Baraka Farm in Namangan district and met local farmers. Islam Karimov said that the government always highly rates work of farmers.

During the visit to Namangan region, Islam Karmov also visited production enterprise Istiqlol in Namangan district, which produces clothes.

President praised the work of youth, who are working at the enterprise, which is equipped with modern Japanese and German technologies.

Islam Karimov also familiarized with creative and municipal improvement works in Namangan city, regional center of Namangan region. He gave his recommendations on further improving construction and municipal improvement works.

President Islam Karimov also visited Sport Complex Barkamol Avlod and Yoshlar Markazi Center in Namangan city.

In Namangan city administration, the Uzbek leader Islam Karimov met local activists and discussed social-economic reforms in the region, execution of programme of measures on municipal improvement and development of social infrastructure of Namangan city for 2009-2012, etc.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov paid a visit to Andijan region on the same day. President familiarized with houses, constructed on standard projects in Urikzor mahalla in Andijan district.

Islam Karimov also got acquainted with reconstructed Uzbekistan street and buildings constructed along it. He gave his recommendations on further improvement of traffic and providing more trade and domestic services to population.
