Uzbek President Islam Karimov received General Motors-Daewoo Auto and Technology (GMDAT) President Michael Grimaldi in the presidential residence Oqsaroy on 1 May.

"Your visit to Uzbekistan creates a good opportunity for direct familiarization with our country’s car industry and an exchange of views on issues of mutual cooperation," Uzbek President Karimov said.

During the meeting held in the Oqsaroy residence, Michael Grimaldi noted that the GMDAT company was interested in further boosting cooperation with the Uzbek partners. He thanked President Karimov for the warm welcome.

During the talks the sides discussed issues related to further boosting cooperation between the UzDaewooAuto joint-stock company and GMDAT, as well as to drafting and implementing new joint projects.
