Uzbek leader approves agreements with Brazil
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Uzbek President Islam Karimov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov approved a package of the Uzbek-Brazilian agreements with his resolution from 10 July 2009. The Uzbek leader approved six documents, which were signed during his official visit to Brazil on 28 May 2009.
The resolution approved the agreement on technical cooperation, agreement on economic and trade cooperation, the agreement on cultural cooperation, the agreement on cooperation in agriculture, and the agreement visa-free entry for diplomatic passport holders, as well as the memorandum on cooperation in tourism.
Uzbek head entrusted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Brazilian side that Uzbekistan carried out all internal procedures, which are necessary for entering the agreements into force.
