The delegation arrived in Uzbekistan on 25 September with a five-day visit. The business forum was attended by business circles of Uzbekistan and Latvia.

The main aim of the visit is to establish bilateral relations between Uzbek and Latvian businesses, promote cooperation between two states, as well as meet the Uzbek officials.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of mutual cooperation on strengthening between business circles of two countries.

It is worth to mention that bilateral trade turnover of two states grew by 40% year-on-year to US$192.5 million in 2011. The growth was observed this year as well.

Currently, there are 20 enterprises with Latvian enterprises, which produce electronics, software and communication tools, furniture, silk products, garments, etc.
