During the meeting, the sides considered actual issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including investigation of tragic events in Osh and Jalalabad regions of Kyrgyzstan in June 2010.
The sides underlined that the conclusions of international independent commission will help to rehabilitate inter-ethnic consent.
The Kyrgyz side said that it is necessary to organize visit in high level between two states, rehabilitate border cooperation. The Kyrgyz side requested Uzbekistan to supply mineral fertilizers for the need of agriculture sector. It was noted that it is necessary to implement all clauses of the agreement on mutual travels of citizens, in part of staying of Kyrgyz citizens in Uzbekistan.
Foreign Ministers deemed it expedient to rehabilitate work of intergovernmental commissions on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border and trade-economic cooperation. They also noted it is necessary to foster negotiations on water-energy and property issues as soon as possible.
The sides expressed opinion on necessity to adhere all achievement agreements and mutual obligations. The sides also exchanged opinion on issues of ensuring regional security and cooperation within international organizations.
The sides considered issues of holding inventory of existing legal base between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and hold consultations on consular issues.
During the meeting, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Anvarbek Mokeev handed over copy of credentials to the Uzbek Minister Elyor Ganiev.
