Uzbek, Korean tax services to boost cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea led by its head Hyun-dong Lee Commissioner paid a visit to Uzbekistan on 5-7 June 2012.

The visit took place within implementation of the agreement between the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea on exchange of information on tax issues, which was signed on 4 April 2012 in Seoul.

The delegation paid visit to the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and held negotiations with the chairperson of the committee Botir Parpiev. The sides discussed perspectives of development of cooperation, including within the agreement and other directions.

In particular, the sides will pay great attention to studying mutual experience of tax services and role of information-communication technologies in their activities, introduction and use of data exchange and processing system.

The sides achieved agreement on visit of the specialists of leading companies to help the Uzbek side to create Center for data processing.

The agreement envisages exchange of information on improving tax administration, including directed at preventing tax crimes at export-import operations, off-site control and reimbursement of value added tax.

The sides also agreed to establish cooperation in training of specialists, organize joint seminars and conferences on actual issues of taxation.

The sides expressed assurance to continue and strengthen mutual relations, and approved importance of such meetings, which create foundation for expanding and strengthening fruitful cooperation.

The Korean delegation visited Museum of Tax History, Mirabad tax inspection in Tashkent, as well as historic sights of Tashkent city.
