The events were organized within the visit of the Korean business delegation to Uzbekistan. The Korean delegation includes representatives of 11 companies, engaged in production and sale of construction equipment, hardened glass, decorative heater panels, medical cosmetics, equipment for processing of fruits and vegetables, etc. The special place took companies working in agriculture sector, which is one of key sectors of economy in Uzbekistan.

The Korean side hopes that the companies can establish cooperation with their Uzbek partners and help to boost relations between two countries.

Republic of Korea is one of leading trade partners of Uzbekistan in Asian-Pacific region. In line with trade agreement from 1992, the most favourable trade regime is established between the countries.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Korea made up US$847 million in nine months of 2009. Uzbekistan exports to Korea comprised US$71.4 million and imports - US$775.6 million in the reporting period.
