Uzbek karakul and woolen products at international auctions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The International Fur and Leather Expo-2023 exhibition has started in Seoul (South Korea). Member enterprises of the association "Uzcharmsanoat" take part in it with an exposition of products from astrakhan, fur and wool.

At the exhibition, in South Korea, which has a market of US$1 trillion, products from Uzbek astrakhan fur and fur are presented to the international community for the first time. New collections are of interest to the world’s fur manufacturers.

On the first day of the exhibition, a meeting was held between the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat Association and the President of the International Fur Federation (IFF) Johns Manakas. The parties exchanged views on the introduction of modern technologies into production, the withdrawal of Uzbek fur and fur products to international auctions.

The head of the IFF made a proposal to organize the export of astrakhan products, in addition to the CIS countries, also to European markets. An agreement was reached to organize auctions of finished products from astrakhan and wool in European markets using the possibilities of the GSP+ system of preferences.

The Turkish company Emelda plans to purchase astrakhan products in Uzbekistan. In the course of negotiations with our national brand Asian Furs, the Turkish company put forward proposals for the supply of astrakhan products to the Turkish market.

During the conversation, it was noted that the quality of products is high, and today the demand for this type of natural fur is growing on the international fur market. The signing of export contracts between Uzbek and Turkish companies is expected at the international exhibition UzCharmExpo-ShoesStar - EurAsia-2023, which will be held in April this year in Tashkent.

A number of negotiations between Uzbek manufacturers and Canadian, Korean and American companies are also planned within the framework of the exhibition.
