The parties exchanged views on the state and perspectives of Uzbek-Japanese relations, and on regional issues, the Uzbek ministry said.

Common endeavor for deepening mutually beneficial strategic partnership in political, diplomatic, trade, economic and cultural spheres was noted.

The experience of past constructive interaction allows the parties to effectively cooperate on bilateral basis, as well as within international structures, including the “Japan+Central Asia” interregional dialogue.

The parties confirmed their interest in enhancing mutual trade, joint innovative projects, expanding participation of advanced Japanese companies in high-tech spheres of the Uzbek economy.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Yoshihisa Kuroda also took part in the negotiations.
