Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 27 July 2009, the political consultations between foreign ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan were held in the city of Tashkent.

During the consultations, the sides had an exchange of views on the state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The sides paid an attention to the discussions of the urgent international and regional issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Afghanistan.
