Uzbek, Japanese football association to continue to cooperate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Football Associations of Uzbekistan and Japan agreed to hold friendly matches among national teams of various levels, the UFF official Askar Talipdjanov said.

Director of National Teams Center of the UFF Talipdjanov said that Japan is one of the strongest nations in Asia and it is always interesting and useful to play against them. He said that Uzbekistan plans to hold friendly matches with Japan in various levels.

Askar Talipdjanov praised the Uzbek football fans, who supported Japanese Olympic team in their friendly match against Uzbekistan.

“Everybody know the situation in Japan. It was pleasant to see that fans, who came to Pakhtakor and JAR stadiums, supported Japanese side. Football is not only fight, but it is also friendly relations between two nations. Despite long distance, we are ready to support the Japanese people.”

Head of Japanese Olympic team delegation Masahiro Shimoda expressed gratitude to the Uzbek people. He expressed thanks to the UFF, who assisted Japan to hold training camp in Tashkent and two friendly matches.

“We are thankful to all Uzbek people, who supported us in such difficult time. I believe the relations between two associations will be stronger,” he added.

As earlier reported, Uzbekistan Olympic team held two friendly matches against Japan. The first match ended with 1-0 victory of Uzbekistan and Japan claimed 2-1 victory in the second one.
