Uzbek, Japanese delegation discuss intl transportation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Japanese scientists held negotiations at the Uzbek Agency for Motor and River Transport (UAMRT) on 28 September 2009.

The delegation of Hanaoka Group of Tokyo Technology Institute and UAMRT management got acquainted with created conditions for international motor transport in Uzbekistan. The Uzbek side said all necessary conditions were created for national and international transporters.

Uzbek side said there are no duties for transporters of Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan has mutual agreement on preferential movement of motor transport in large volume.

Uzbek officials said roads to ports of Turkey and Iran runs through Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China signed agreement on construction of road Andijan-Osh-Sarytash-Irkishtash-Kashgar.

Uzbek side also informed the Japanese delegation on developed projects to increase transportation capacity.

The Japanese delegation also received information on role and tasks of the UAMRT in international transportation.
