Uzbek-Indian turnover makes up 78.2m in 2008
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and India made up US$78.2 million in 2008, of which US$11.1 million fell to share of export and US$67.2 million to imports.

India is one of the leading trade partners of Uzbekistan. In line with the agreement on trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and India, the most favourable trade regime established between the countries.

Uzbekistan mainly exports raw leather, wool, plastic and plastic products, vegetables (dried legumes) and others. The country imports from India such products as pharmaceutical products, paper and cardboard, optical equipment, coffee, tea, non-ferrous metal, etc.

Fourteen Indian companies and organizations have been accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan. About 50 enterprises with Indian capital operate in Uzbekistan, of which 19 are enterprises with 100% Indian capital.
