Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 November, a meeting was held between Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications Shukhrat Sadikov and senior vice president of the Chinese company ZTE Corporation, Mr. Mei Zhonghua, the press service of the Ministry of Finance reported.
It signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and ZTE Corporation.
The meeting was a continuation of the negotiations that have been taking place between the parties for many years.
Welcoming the guest, the Minister noted that the active presence of leading Chinese technology companies in the Uzbek market is the result of effective cooperation between our countries, as well as a favorable investment climate in our country.
The central topics of discussion were the prospects for cooperation to expand the network of fixed and mobile broadband access. An exchange of views also took place on cooperation in the field of training and advanced training of industry experts.
The senior vice president of ZTE Corporation expressed the company’s readiness to intensify its further activities in Uzbekistan.
The Ministry also expressed support for the close cooperation of ZTE Corporation with telecommunication operators of Uzbekistan in the implementation of joint investment projects to introduce the latest technologies to provide modern and popular telecommunication services.
