Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the participation of the delegation of the Ministry of ICT in the World Mobile Congress "MWC Barcelona 2022" in the Kingdom of Spain, a meeting was held between the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov and the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union Dorin Bogdan Martin.

The sides discussed the involvement of IT youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Youth Summit, which will be held as part of the World Telecommunication Development Conference on 6-16 June 2022, the allocation of grant funds for the Giga project aimed at protecting children online.

At the same time, issues of attracting experts and ITU funds for organizing WRO and KRO centers in the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.

Proposals have been put forward to hold on 28 April 2022 the "International Day of Girls in ICT" and open an IT center to improve the skills of women and the younger generation in ICT.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of interest to the parties. An agreement was reached on organizing joint trainings in a number of relevant IT areas, the MITK press center reports.
