Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On approval international agreements” on 22 February 2011.

The document approved the agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan on economic cooperation for 2011-2015 and protocol on introduction of changes and amendments to intergovernmental agreement on visa free travels of the citizens of two countries from 18 June 1997.

These documents were signed in Tashkent on 27 September 2010 during the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliev to Uzbekistan.

President Islam Karimov entrusted the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs to notify Azerbaijani side about implementation of inter-state procedures, necessary for entering into force of the signed agreements.
