President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On further improvement of legal regulation bodies of the state tax service”.

The document approved a regulation on main department on control over activities of markets and trade complex of the State Customs Committee.

In line with the regulation, the main task of the department is to carry out control over activities of the markets and trade complexes, temporary vehicle storage places and business entities, operating in the territory of these objects.

The department will also ensure fullness of receipt and accounting single payment, rent payment, use of cash machines and POS-terminals, as well as adherence to trade and service rules.

Tax officers will also carry out accounting and monitoring of movement of financial inflows of the markets and trade complexes.

The department will create and keep electronic base on income of markets and trade complex, their temporary vehicle storage areas, reveal violations, number business entities working in their area, their income and turnover, information on payment of tax and other mandatory payments.

The new structure will also will review applications, and other information on violations in financial-economic and tax spheres in the territories of markets and trade complexes, prevent production and realization of smuggled and counterfeited products.
