The State Commission on reserves of natural resources under the Cabinet of Ministers was created in line with the resolution of the Uzbek President from August 2010.

According to the regulation, the State Commission on reserves of natural resources under the Cabinet of Ministers is specialized body, which carries out state expertise of geologic materials and approval of natural resources’ reserves.

The main tasks of the State Commission are:

• Approval of requirements for reliable calculation of natural resources’ reserves, meeting requirements of full and complex development of resource fields via rational economic and ecologic basis;
• Approval of reserves of natural resources, ensuring development of mineral-raw base of Uzbekistan;
• Conducting state expertise of geological materials;
• Conducting single policy in establishing single principle of classification and calculation of natural resources’ reserves, their geologic-economic assessment and determining industrial significance.
