Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An Uzbek-German business forum was held in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), with entrepreneurs from the textile, food, and construction industries of both countries participating. The event also featured B2B meetings.
The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Embassy in Germany, and the MUSIAD Hessen e.V. association.
The MUSIAD association brings together over 12,000 members and has branches in Germany, Europe, and worldwide. It also handles 25% of Türkiye’s exports.
The forum was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov, and Chairman of MUSIAD Hessen e.V. Muhsin Kidik, who delivered welcoming speeches.
During the forum, presentations were made about Uzbekistan’s investment potential and business opportunities. Discussions also covered reforms underway in both countries and the outcomes of previously signed agreements.
Currently, 221 enterprises with German investments operate in Uzbekistan, including 114 fully German companies and 107 joint ventures.
Following the forum, B2B meetings were held where Uzbek and German entrepreneurs discussed opportunities for concluding mutually beneficial trade contracts.
